Who Benefits From Homes for Hope?

When you donate to a nonprofit organization or specific cause, you may wonder: Where does that money actually end up? Over the last couple of months we’ve blogged, tweeted and more to share progress with you about our Homes for Hope project. A home being constructed in Lubbock, TX (mostly with donated labor and supplies) will go on the market just like any of our other homes. However, net profits from this home will go to HOPE International, which in turn makes micro loans to people in poverty, who’d like to start or expand their own business. Receiving a small loan of a few hundred dollars can make a world of difference to people in these situations. Our Homes for Hope home will generate around 1,000 small loans! Today we’re sharing the stories of a few past micro loan recipients.
