Today, we’re touring a Carmi floor plan in Odessa. The homeowner, Ruby is from Downey, California and moved to Odessa with her husband in 2016 after tiring of the hustle and bustle in California.
Ruby and Jesse’s home is full of family photos and treasures. Their style can be described as a mix between West Coast beachy with Mediterranean elements. Let’s see their home!
The armoire you see upon entering was given to Ruby by her father. It is an early 1900s piece that she stained espresso to match the cabinets in the home!
The kitchen features hues of yellow and statement pieces above the cabinets.
Ruby has several beautiful plants throughout her home, including one in the kitchen and this succulent in the guest bathroom.
Jewel tones are also a play on Mediterranean style in the guest bathroom. The blue-green glass holder serves as a unique place to keep wash cloths.
A piece outside the master bedroom holds family photos, including one of Ruby’s sweet grandmother.
In the master bedroom, a mix of soft colors and patterns create a fun and beachy vibe.
The lamp in the master bedroom is from More for Less thrift store in Odessa. Ruby says her home is full of flea market and thrift store finds that she loves to mix with more expensive or newer pieces.
Ruby has incorporated dark and light colored decor to create a Mediterranean look in the master bathroom. The conch and seashells add a bit of seaside flair.
Another lush green plant is positioned perfectly against dark cabinets and light walls in the master bathroom. It’s a great place for it to take in light from the frosted window by the garden tub. What a creative decor idea!
We enjoyed touring Ruby and Jesse’s home and seeing their unique decor and family treasures.
