Cozy Decor in a Kaylee

Our Kaylee floor plan has 1,550 square feet of living space with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. This plan provides privacy for those looking to relax in their living room and away from their entryway. The plan is open, but still allows for separation in the living and kitchen areas. Take a look at this Kaylee we recently toured!

Marilyn lives in a Kaylee plan in Odessa and enjoys having her children and grandchildren over for weekend stays. Her children live in San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Fulton, MO, so time they get together is cherished!

Marilyn has truly made her house a home with personal decor, an inviting paint color and many wonderful pieces. Her travels have taken her to Romania, Czech Republic and Holland.

Trinkets from different countries on display.

She displays mementos from around the globe on a hutch in the entryway. In addition, one of Marilyn’s grandchildren handmade a wooden piece that features each family member’s birthday.

The kitchen features antique white cabinets, wood-look tile and an island that’s great for extra seating.

Misty Surf by Olympic provides a slightly darker contrast color on the kitchen island.

Marilyn’s son made a wooden backdrop for her TV and electric fireplace. It provides a unique focal point in the living area.

Marilyn’s granddaughter painted a special piece for her.

The patio is also a great gathering space. One of Marilyn’s favorite things about her home is the view! She enjoys West Texas sunsets most evenings the weather allows.

Shades of blue also flow out into the patio.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful home with us Marilyn!

We hope this gives you some decorating ideas for your space.

  1. Can you please do one for the Kenlie floor plan? Ours is about to be finished and I would to see what others have done. Thank you.
