But how do you care for your new countertops? Is maintenance the same as granite? Let’s dive into it!

Here are a few fun facts about quartz:

  • While quartz and quartzite are similar in style, the product we offer is man-made, engineered, and has a more consistent look than quartzite, which is 100% natural stone. Engineered quartz comprises mostly of quartzite and some resin.
  • Quartz is very durable and non-porous.
  • Due to the hardness of the stone, it resists staining and does not require sealers like granite!

Although quartz is durable, you still want to clean it gently to maintain its smoothness and shine. Any gentle cleaner or a mild detergent will work great and most food stains should come up with a little elbow grease – however, we don’t recommend using abrasive scouring pads. For tougher stains, a Magic Eraser® may also be used.
